Welcome To Music 4 U

We are charitable organisation providing a wide range of opportunities to participants from all backgrounds.
Our varied programme includes regular activiy such as our Youth Chorus and Stage School as well as School Holiday
and Outreach Workshops, Performances and Professional shows and events. Over the last year we  have expanded our
team to widen our range of expertise and professional  practitioners, moved into new premises in Union Terrace
Aberdeen and secured funding for some major projects including an Integrated Stage School programme funded by
Children in Need and investment from Creative Scotland to deliver a new Youth Music Initiative project

We are delighted that our progress will allow many more young people to participate in a wide range of creative
activites and we are continuing to develop our range of innovative projects.

Introduction To British Sign Language

From Wednesday 28th March 6-8 pm at Rosemount Community Centre
With BSL tutor Margaret McNulty

Learn the basics of sign language and how to have a conversation with those who are hearing impaired. This 10 week course costs just £100

Beyond The Rainbow 
Friday June 22nd - Mile End Primary School

A one night only show highlighting the Children in Need Enabler Project . This ‘in-house’ production written by
Stage School director Debbie Kirkness will be staged and performed at Mile End School with unique lighting and
sound techniques designed entirely by  Music 4 U.
 

I Am What I Am
Thursday 2nd August 2012 - Aberdeen Arts Centre

This fantastic show has become an annual event in the Music 4 U calendar. The production showcases young
acts who have displayed artistic talent despite having to overcome learning or physical disability.

Our Youth Chorus host their 4th major showcase celebrating the best of  Musical Theatre numbers with some exciting additions.

Timeless Experience 2012

Spring 2012 shows are on the following dates;

Thursday 19th April 7.30pm -Inverurie Town Hall
Saturday 21st April 2.30 and 7.30pm - Aberdeen Arts Centre


Each show features 10 young performers trained at Music 4 U Stage School


Music 4 U Stage School – KISS - have a fabulous relationship with one of the UKs leading theatre companys.
The Timeless Experience is connected to Timeless Productions Music Nostalgia Shows which tour the UK twice
yearly staging a different show each time.Based on popular music, song, dance and performance styles from
the 1940s through to the disco era of the 1970s these shows are attracting more and more young people into
their audiences.Popular TV productions such as Strictly Come Dancing and Dancing on Ice have brought the
magic of old songs to the attention of our young performers. 

KISS Stage School offer opportunities for youngsters aged 7 years up to 14 who have good stage presence and
a desire to work with a professional company. The Timeless Experience has developed its own unique workshop
style package of 3 rehearsal days followed by 3 show dates on stage with the professional cast.
The cost is £35 per participant which is subsidised by Music 4 U performance opportunities budget and includes
workshops, show participation with chaperone, costume extras, admin and insurance
